WHY JOIN OUR FELLOWSHIP?

a unique experience

1st Year: Medical Affairs

At MannKind, fellows will gain exposure and practice experience in the Medical Affairs functional sub-specialty in the biopharmaceuticals industry. Fellows may also have the opportunity to gain clinical practice experience (e.g. Roybal Comprehensive Health Center). Fellows will develop, participate, and be an integral team member on business priorities, such as:

  • Medical Information (e.g., staffing the Medical Information Contact Center)
  • Medical Communications (e.g., medical content development)
  • Medical Review Committee
  • Publication planning
  • Medical Congress Attendance

2nd Year: Elective Rotations (Regulatory Affairs, Patient Advocacy, Clinical Development & Operations, Business Development, Field Medical)

These rotations offer the opportunity to explore different functional areas aligned with the company needs and individual interests and career goals. Fellows will be able to express preferences for their rotation placements; however, final assignments will be determined based on availability and subject to change with evolving business needs.

USC fellows will have scholastic and academic opportunities, including:

  • Chief Fellow Leadership Opportunity (e.g., serve as a liaison with the USC Mann Fellowship Program Office, lead recruitment activities, and support the coordination of fellow-related initiatives)
  • Taking professional coursework and completing certificate programs
  • Professional development support through individualized goal setting, strengths identification/assessments, advising, coaching, and mentoring opportunities
